Graham Wright has become the first Wiltshire Unitary Councillor for the Durrington & Larkhill ward after a decisive victory over the previous Conservative County Councillor.

Former Town Mayor Peggy Dow (Liberal Democrat) took the Wiltshire Council seat for Marlborough East with margin of 250+ votes over her nearest Conservative rival.

There are now less than a day to go until polls open for the crucial elections for the Wiltshire Council and European Parliament. Polling stations are open between 7am and 10pm on Thursday June 4th.

The Catholic Church of St Thomas More in Marlborough was full to capacity on May 14 for the funeral of John Thomson who died of a brain tumour in Prospect Hospice on May 7.
